Former No Limit Soldier Mr. Serv-On is gearing up for his return to the public eye, via a new dating and relationship guide written by the artist himself. Entitled Inside the Mind of Brothas: A Young Black Man's Guide for Black Women Trying to Survive the Dating Game in Today's Hip-Hop Generation, the book aims to resolve the most common conflicts faced by young African-American couples today. “Seventy percent of the time, Black Women's hearts get broken because of their own blind misjudgment and greediness for a man based on outside attributes," explained Mr. Serv-On. “With this book, I hope to teach women about today's Black men in the Hip-Hop community, so that the playing fields are equal and every black woman will end up with the right guy," the rapper continued.
DANGER LURKS IN TEEN DATING GAME
New York's teen dating scene is a harsh reality of abusive 11-year-olds, 15-year-old rapists, beatings with broomsticks, and girls forced into cocaine addiction at 16. City officials and parents were shocked and appalled last week by findings in the city Health Department's Teen Safety Report. The study gave a disturbing insight into New York's teenage dating violence, which has spiked by 40 percent since 1999. One out of 10 girls at New York high schools have been forced into sex, with reported rapes increasing by 34 percent. One in 10 New York teens have experienced physical violence at the hands of a partner, the study of 8,000 students from grades 9 to 12 found. "In public schools, the violence is way more up-front," said 17-year-old Alex Unger, a senior from an uptown school.

Top advisor hits out over MMR & GM foods
Sir David said GM food offered humanity a chance to create a third agricultural revolution which could allow the human race to feed itself despite climate change. On MMR he said 'My charge here is that your highly successful campaign has potentially led to a situation where we could have 50 or 100 children dying of measles in the UK.' Uptake of MMR has fallen sufficiently enough that low vaccine coverage in some areas means measles could spread. All the evidence, he added, shows that MMR does not cause autism. 'That's the basic message that every parent needs to get and I would love the Daily Mail to put a headline in the paper tomorrow admitting that,' he added, telling the MPs he had written to Mail editor Paul Dacre about the paper's coverage. The paper refused to comment on the criticisms while Today said they didn't recognise Sir David's description of their coverage.

American poet Langston Hughes is one of those figures. Born Feb. 1, 1902, in Joplin, Mo., Hughes father abandoned his family when Hughes was only a boy. Much of his early childhood consisted of hopping around the Midwest while his mother and stepfather searched for employment. During this time, he was introduced to the blues and spirituals, both of which he would later integrate into his poetry. Hughes studied engineering at Columbia University, but soon dropped out to pursue a writing career. His real education came from travels through Europe, Central America and Africa, after which he moved to Harlem to immerse himself in the black culture there. He became a leader of the artistic and literary movement known as the Harlem Renaissance. One of his best-known poems was first published in 1921, when Hughes was only 19, called The Negro Speaks of Rivers.
Woman’s stepchildren use house as party central
DEAR ABBY: I married a man with two adult children. When I met him, Jerry was a single father whose ex-wife had died soon after their divorce. I have two small children who live with us. Jerry has been a wonderful husband and stepfather. When we married years ago, we both owned our own homes. We jointly decided to rent mine and live in his. Whenever we go away on a vacation, his children use our home without asking. There have been parties, complaints from neighbors, our house left in disarray, and friends I dont know sleeping in my childrens beds. In the past, Jerry tolerated this behavior. Now that my children and I live here, I asked my husband to talk to his children about this. He did, and things have toned down, but they havent stopped. It bothers me that they use our home when were not here.

Questions And Answers – Wednesday 20 Feb
The member himself may have been in Hawaii at the time, which is probably why he refused to comment on the matter when asked by the New Zealand Herald. John Key: How does the Prime Minister reconcile the fact that she chose not to correct the statement by Mr Williams, which she knew to be incorrect, with her promise that she would deliver a Government that people could trust and that would be open and accountable? Rt Hon HELEN CLARK: Of course, no such choice was made. I have made it clear since this matter has come to my attention that Mr Williams made a mistake. This donation of forgone interest will be in the Labour Party’s audited accounts. I note that the National Party’s audited accounts have no track of any donation ever made by Mr Key. Are we to believe that he is just mean, or has he hidden his donations in the Waitemata Trust? John Key: Further to her response to my question yesterday, has she at any time had any discussions with the President of the New Zealand Labour Party, Mike Williams, regarding the possible appointment of Owen Glenn as New Zealand’s honorary consul to Monaco? Rt Hon HELEN CLARK: As I said to the House yesterday, I became aware that Mr Glenn had expressed such an interest.
Tending the tapestry
Joan Ozanne rang me and explained that the idea of a tapestry had been raised at the forum and wondered if I was interested in becoming involved. I thought it was a terrific idea and put Valerie Chandler's name forward as a possible designer and things moved fairly rapidly from there.' Technically, the panels are canvas work, rather than tapestry, stitched not woven. Sally has experience of working with both and had already undertaken another major local project - the conservation of the beautiful tapestries at Sausmarez Manor. 'With the millennium project, we had to work within the constraints of what materials were actually available for us to use.' She investigated the technical side of working with panels. The final size, of 4ft by 3ft, proved the most economical use of canvas and mounting material.
