STARGAZING | Scott finds support, Anderson wants annulment, Ritter ...
Although Grammy-winning singer Jill Scott loves her curves, her ample bustline has caused her plenty of pain. She's had bras custom-made and has even worn two at a time — "a bra for lift, and one for shape" — but she still found no relief. Now Scott thinks she has found a solution for herself — and millions of other voluptuous women — with her "Butterfly" bra for plus-size store Ashley Stewart. The bra, which Ashley Stewart says is "inspired" by Scott, puts additional fabric and support on the back of the garment rather than on the shoulder straps, which can cut into the skin. Scott said she had considered breast reduction but decided against it, fearing the surgery would be painful. "Besides, I really enjoy my breasts," she said.
Woman Convicted Of Shooting Man After Rough Sex
Jurors also convicted Carol Ann Rucker, 52, of discharging a firearm and pointing her revolver at officers who shot her four times. The panel could not reach a unanimous verdict on an allegation that Rucker's shooting of Hubert "Bert" Watson was premeditated and deliberate. Prosecutor Robert Madruga said Rucker would have faced life in prison with a chance for parole if the jurors had convicted her of premeditation. Instead, she faces up to 34 years to life when she is sentenced Aug. 5 by Judge John Thompson, the prosecutor said. During the trial, Rucker admitted shooting Watson after the two engaged in consensual but uncomfortable sex. She said the encounter reminded her of two past rapes and an abusive relationship. She testified that she was distraught when she shot Watson.
Heath Ledger was a lonesome cowboy
It was only a few hours since the young film star had been found dead in his Manhattan bedroom. Drugs he took for anxiety and insomnia, including Ambien sleeping tablets, had reportedly been found at his bedside. "I warn them about Ambien," said Nicholson. "I don’t take sleeping pills, but somebody said, ‘Take this – it’s mild.’ I then got a call in the middle of the night, an emergency, and almost drove off a cliff 50 yards from my house up in the mountains in Aspen." He breathed out, for effect, and watched the trail of smoke. The message was clear. Nicholson has confessed to the lot: pills, pot, LSD, drink, shrinks and legions of women. He has partied hard and lived harder. He always seems to get away with it, whether it’s cigarettes in a nonsmoking zone or group sex.
Ang Thong in a day
Ang Thong in the central plains is surrounded by several provinces: Sing Buri and Lop Buri to the north, Suphan Buri on the west and Ayutthaya in its south. The history of Ang Thong is intertwined with these provinces, a trend that continues to this day. Noted for its fertile rice and fruit plantations helped by the rich sediment swept down its farms by the Chao Phraya River every year, there is another facet of the province that is equally interesting. Archaeological evidence indicates Ang Thong was a transit point for Burmese troops navigating the rivers on their way to Ayutthaya from places as diverse as Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi or even the Lanna states of northern Thailand. Needless to say, Ayutthaya must have wielded considerable influence in shaping temple art and murals in Ang Thong.
The Sounds of Cinema, Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis
During that silence, Chaplin realises that the girl is blind. There is no more poignant moment in any film, and music is fundamental in achieving it. At a screening of City Lights in Minneapolis's Orchestra Hall, the conductor Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra executed the moment with pinpoint timing and in an instant confirmed the decision to devote two weeks of the season to “The Sounds of Cinema" made sense. .
Is Homeland Security Too Focused on “Guns, Guards and Gates”?
Al Qaeda plans to wage both economic and literal war on us; let's not fall into their trap by spending millions on creating a police state on the level of North Korea. Even with an unlimited budget it wouldn't make us as safe as one would hope, and, as Kayyem puts it, "we won't be the nation we want to be." Simply building a moat around the castle is tempting, but we're not living in a fairy tale. In waging a war against an ever present enemy, trust-building and infiltration is just as important as shows of might. We forget that at our peril. .

The Most Foolish
For those of us expecting a stimulus check, it's hard to voice an opinion against such government benevolence. But before you get too comfortable with how economically "stimulating" this program will be, you might want to take a closer look at some ramifications of this plan that proposes happier times ahead. The music stopped, but the dancing continuesIt isn't breaking news that the economy is in trouble. To what degree this is the case is a matter of debate, but it's pretty clear that the "Goldilocks" economy days have left the building. That said, something does, indeed, need to be done to ensure, at the very least, that we don't get ourselves into an even bigger mess than the one we're already in. But is shipping out checks really the answer? The reason we're in this mess has nothing to do with consumers not spending enough money.
McCain looks confident; Democratic race tightens
Look through the pages. The reliance on proxies like his wife is photographically documented. His rhetorical reliance on blackness is apparent on the first page, where front and center feature words who's author is no doubt Axelrod: There is no better advocate for African Americans than Barack Obama. Barack knows your story, because it is his story. The causes that you hold dear have been the causes of his life. Barack has spent his entire career fighting for justice — as a community organizer in the streets of the South Side of Chicago, as a civil rights attorney, a constitutional law professor, an Illinois state Senator and a U.S. Senator. In Chicago Obama was charge with rape when he was 17 years old charges droped after his dad payed off some cops ???? Crucial to Obama's primary success, are his advisers unabashed beliefs that they can turn our hopes and emotions to their advantage.
