College males have it hard, especially at Dartmouth. Hanover is not really what you'd call the dating hotspot of the Lake Sunapee region, so avenues to meet those women you want to take home to mom are limited. Luckily for Dartmouth men, there is still one avenue where guys can meet ladies and show off their skills. This avenue, my friends, is the dance party. In 2003 Dane Cook uttered the phrase, "Dude, I just wanna dance." When he said this, Dartmouth men everywhere stood up and cheered. Not only do Dartmouth guys love the dance party, but we also know how to treat a lady on the dance floor. For all the men out there who aren't avid dance party–goers and don't know the codes of conduct, take what I say as scripture. And just for everyone's information, the tips I'm giving are not just my observations, but also extensive research of reading over 100 Dartmouth women's diaries and Xanga profiles.
Gay matchmaking sites find a growing market
Growing up, Bethtina Woodridge heard all kinds of advice about dating, finding a husband and getting married. "You don't have those tips about meeting women," said Woodridge, 31. "How do I approach her, how do I know she is gay?" For Woodridge, finding that special someone turned out to be easier online. Several months after signing up for dating service Chemistry.com, Woodridge was matched with her partner, who was "incredibly honest and sincere, and she stole my heart." After online giant eHarmony made headlines last year by saying its psychological research is based exclusively on heterosexual relationships, a growing number of rival online matchmakers are using their algorithms to find same-sex love as well. "There are just not enough services for creating healthy relationships, and (it is) a major gap in the gay community," said matchmaker Patrick Perrine, founder of San Francisco-based Mypartner.com, which caters to "sophisticated, cultured and relationship-oriented gay men" and has more than 50,000 clients across the nation.
Jesse Mccartney - Mccartney Denies Online Dating
LATEST: U.S. teen pop sensation JESSE MCCARTNEY has denied he is looking for love online - insisting he set up a profile on a dating site for a "joke". The 20-year-old told U.S. magazine In Touch Weekly he had signed up to Jewish dating site JDate.com - even though he isn't Jewish. MCCartney, who recently ended his romance with David Cassidy's daughter Katie, admits he did join the website - but only for amusement and not as a serious way to meet women. He tells America's Us Weekly, "I just wanted to set the record straight and let everyone know that the profile I created on JDate was a joke! "I was hanging' with some friends and we thought that it would be really funny to see peoples' reactions. The hilarity of it all is that until I announced having a profile on the site, nobody believed it was me.
The duels that will shape sport in 2008
There are no restrictions placed upon him. He hasn't got to worry about continuing with the old and bold because that's how you make progress in World Cups. He doesn't have to play in a way which is determined by the importance of the fixture. Ashton can afford to let his players off the leash. .
Ancestral Human Skull Found in China
A human skull tentatively dating back 80,000 to 100,000 years may shed light on a murky chapter of evolutionary history, its discoverers say. An excavation team led by Chinese archaeologist Li Zhanyang recently found the shattered fossil in the central province of Henan. .
Man is charged in secret videotaping of woman at his Gardena job
Charges were filed Tuesday against a former Gardena aerospace parts manufacturing worker who allegedly videotaped a female colleague as she used the company restroom. Ryan Dale Castillo, 30, is accused of planting a mini-camera to record a woman he had a crush on, according to Gardena police Detective Todd Fox. Castillo was charged with a felony count of unauthorized access to computers and three misdemeanors of invasion of privacy by secretly filming, according to Deputy District Attorney Jodi Link. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum of six years and four months behind bars, Link said. Castillo has remained free on $30,000 bail since his Dec. 11 arrest at his home in an unincorporated area near Harbor Gateway. He is scheduled to appear in Torrance Superior Court on March 17 for arraignment.
John Bartholomew: Scion of a map-making dynasty
Only those who have experienced it themselves can appreciate what it means to be born into a dynasty. Six generations of the Bartholomew family, culminating in John Bartholomew (John Christopher Bartholomew, or "JCB") and his younger brothers Peter and Robert, built the map-making dynasty of John Bartholomew and Sons. Opinions vary as to the impact of his background on JCB. Schooling at Edinburgh Academy and Gordonstoun might have prompted him to break the mould, as might Second World War service in the Royal Engineers, in East Africa and the Middle East. However, he returned home to study Geography at Edinburgh University, while at the same time undertaking a cartographic apprenticeship at Bartholomew's. In 1960 he became Cartographic Director, taking over, inter alia, supervision, until his retirement in 1984, of the numerous succeeding editions of the Times World Atlas.
Falcons shouldn’t feel embarrassed
Besides, if he was so great, why didn't the Ravens or Dolphins beat a path to his door? Lynn and all the other Falcons haters, since you all know so much about the head coaches who interviewed, please tell us what they had that Mike Smith doesn't. Bottom line is this: we have no idea what's going to happen but for once it seems as if the Falcons' front office has got their sh*t together. .
