Stargazing: The Potter couple, and the Brit Awards come off

Pauly Shore is countersuing neighbor Wes Craven for creating a nightmare on his property.

Shore claimed that a landslide on his Hollywood Hills property in December 2006 was caused by Craven's failure to properly maintain vegetation and landscaping on a hillside on his property, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in Superior Court.

The comedian also alleged that Craven, the director of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and the "Scream" series, did not eradicate rodents burrowing in the hill and made improvements on his property that "changed the geology, topography and drainage," according to the lawsuit.

Last June Craven sued Shore for upgrading his home with a pool, spa, landscaping and more that caused water to seep down a slope and damage Craven's property.

Coveting the many talented gifts of Tiger Woods

This has been apparent to golfers since the world's No. 1 player cut his famous Nike commercial 12 years ago. Although the ad played to his connection to galleries diverse in age, ethnicity and social and economic backgrounds, golfers of all stripes quickly discovered they can hardly associate their games with his.

"If you ever get half as good as Tiger, you'd be a pretty good golfer," PGA Tour pro Geoff Ogilvy said last year when Woods won seven times, captured his 13th major, at the PGA Championship, and won the inaugural FedExCup playoffs.

"We almost expect him to win all the tournaments that he's playing," frequent practice round partner, good friend and colleague Charles Howell III said last week.

As Woods tees off at 2:02 p.m. ET Wednesday (2-6 p.m., Golf Channel) in the first round of the WGCAccenture Match Play Championship in Marana, Ariz., near Tucson, he's firing on all cylinders again.

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard defied the notion that big men don't win dunk contests, slamming his way to victory Saturday night in the first ever competition in which the winner was determined by the fans.

Howard had a perfect total of 100 for his two first round dunks -- one of which featured a Superman cape -- then unveiled a pair of previously unseen slams to unseat 2007 titlist Gerald Green in the final round.

Toronto Raptors forward Jason Kapono defended his three-point shootout championship, tying the single-round record established by former Chicago Bulls marksman Craig Hodges in 1986 with a final round score of 25. Kapono outgunned Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson and 2006 champ Dirk Nowitzki in the final round to run away with the victory and retain his throne.

MARY ROSE AND CUTTY SARK GET £31M HERITAGE LOTTERY FUNDING

One of the world's oldest surviving warships, the 16th century Mary Rose has been saved once again after being awarded a £21 million Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) grant, amid fierce competition for funds.

In July 2007, the Mary Rose Trust had been unsuccessful in its bids to secure HLF funding for the ship's preservation and a new museum designed by award-winning architects Wilkinson Eyre.

After the latest announcement, with plans now going ahead, the cash injection will also bring 19,000 rare artefacts, found with the ship, under one roof for the first time and allow completion of a 26 year conservation project.

Live College Football: In a Players View

I love to ask you guys the questions, which I am going to do so, but I will answer it in this post aswell. My Heisman Favorite Is..... -Ugh, I don't like to be biased by anyway shape or form, but this is my list for this upcoming season. 1) Chase Daniel-Missouri -I am a Missouri fan, yes I do know that. But, I love the accuracy, the arm, the excitment, the playmaking ability, and his awareness is all what makes this guy the best icon in sports in the state of Missouri right now. Yes, bigger than Albert Pujols. Bigger than Marc Bulger, Torry Holt, or Carl Edwards. All of a sudden Missouri football has a heartbeat that it never had, and fans are starting to live and die for this program. 2)Pat White-West Virginia -Here is the deal. If he stays healthy, and plays just as much as Chase Daniel then Pat White wins it.

Warren Jeffs pleads not guilty in Ariz.

KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) -- Polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs entered a not guilty plea Wednesday to sex charges stemming from the arranged marriages of three teenage girls to older men.

It was Jeffs' first court appearance in Arizona, where prosecutors filed charges against him even before he faced charges in Utah, where he was convicted last year of rape as an accomplice in the arranged marriage of a 14-year-old girl and her 19-year-old cousin.

Jeffs had a slight smile when he walked into the courtroom, and talked in hushed tones with his lawyers. He answered "yes" when Mohave County Superior Court Judge Steven Conn asked if he was Warren Jeffs, but otherwise sat quietly with no expression on his face.

His lawyer, Mike Piccarreta, entered the plea on his behalf. After the hearing, Piccarreta said "it's difficult times" for Jeffs, but he declined to speak further.

BURNS Night might be a Scottish celebration but it's the perfect chance for people from different cultures to come together.
